The Mission

The American College Foundation (“ACF”) provides scholarships as well as college preparation and funding guidance for high school students and their parents all across the United States.   Thousands of high schools link to the ACF’s website and many use the ACF as a resource for more in-depth college planning procedures and associated timelines.

In addition to the scholarships and online resources provided by the ACF, they also have thousands of families each year who request additional, more in-depth planning information and guidance from a local qualified professional.  Each inquiry is distributed to a single participating Advisor and is controlled through zip code-driven regions.

How You Can Qualify

In order to be eligible to receive the referrals distributed by the ACF, a financial professional must first have a general overall understanding of the late-stage college planning process.

As the exclusive distribution partner for the ACF, we have worked in conjunction with the foundation to set an appropriate curriculum and study course.

All financial professionals who attend and complete our 2-day Training Event gain the 'general overall understanding' college planning requirements set forth by the ACF, become accredited as a Certified College Advisor ("CCA"), and are therefore eligible to participate in the ACF Exclusive Referral Program.

Referral Distribution

In order for each referred family to be contacted by the Advisor in a timely manner, the ACF has incorporated extensive measures to make sure all referrals are delivered efficiently.

First, immediately upon submission, the ACF will send an email to the Advisor with contact specifics for the family (phones and emails).  The ACF also sends a confirmation email to the family to let them know that a qualified professional will be in touch with them shortly to further discuss both their immediate and long-term planning needs.

In addition, participating Advisors also have a customizable, web-based Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) software that is ‘auto-magically’ populated with each new referral as they are distributed by the ACF.  This gives the Advisor two methods to cross-check, follow up, keep notes, and arrange interviews with the referred families.
